Information Collection and Use
The following privacy policy applies to the PDF Welder app for iOS. By using this application, you agree to the Apple Standard EULA.
PDF Welder is designed with your privacy in mind. Here's how we handle your data:
- Photos & Images: All images you select for PDF conversion are processed entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to any server.
- PDF Documents: All PDF processing — merging, compressing, splitting, watermarking, numbering, locking, signing, and text extraction (OCR) — happens entirely on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to any server.
- Document Scanning: Scanning uses Apple's VisionKit framework and processes entirely on-device. Scanned content never leaves your device.
- Subscription Data: If you subscribe to PDF Welder Pro, payment processing is managed securely through RevenueCat and Apple's App Store.
On-Device Processing
Your Privacy is Our Priority: PDF Welder processes all your documents and images locally on your iPhone or iPad. We do not have access to your PDFs, images, or any content you create with the app. Everything stays on your device.
What We Don't Collect
PDF Welder does not collect:
- Your PDF documents or files
- Your photos or images
- Your name, email address, or any personal account information
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or ad-tracking data
- Precise location information
- Any data that can identify you personally
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Diagnostics and Analytics
To understand which features are useful and to fix bugs quickly, PDF Welder uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. The data collected is pseudonymous and tied only to a Firebase Installation ID (a random identifier scoped to this app instance — it is not linked to your Apple ID, email, name, or any account).
What we collect:
- Anonymous in-app events — e.g. which tool you opened, whether the paywall was shown, whether a purchase succeeded
- Crash reports — stack traces, device model, iOS version, app version
- App language and theme preference (light/dark/system)
- Whether you are a Pro subscriber (true/false, no personal details)
- Approximate region derived from your masked IP address (city-level at most)
What we never collect: your files, your photos, your scanned documents, file names, file contents, OCR text output, signatures, passwords, or anything that identifies you personally.
This diagnostic data is processed by Google in accordance with the Firebase Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
Third Party Services
PDF Welder uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own Privacy Policy:
- RevenueCat — For subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous device identifiers and purchase transaction data as described in their privacy policy.
- Google Firebase Analytics — For anonymous product analytics. See the "Diagnostics and Analytics" section above.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics — For crash reporting. See the "Diagnostics and Analytics" section above.
Data Storage
PDF Welder stores your created PDFs and operation history locally on your device. This data can be deleted at any time by removing the documents from within the app or by uninstalling the application. We have no access to this locally stored data.
Photo Library Access
PDF Welder requests access to your photo library to allow you to select images for PDF conversion. This access is used solely for the purpose of enabling you to choose photos within the app. Selected photos are processed locally and are never uploaded or shared.
Camera Access
PDF Welder requests camera access to enable document scanning. Camera input is processed on-device using Apple's VisionKit framework and is never transmitted to external servers.
Opt-out Rights
You can halt all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your device or via the App Store. Uninstalling removes the Firebase Installation ID along with the app, ending any further diagnostic data collection from your device.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at contact@goudri.com so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All file processing (PDFs, images, scans, signatures, OCR) happens on your device — your documents never leave your control. Subscription data transmitted to RevenueCat and anonymous diagnostic data transmitted to Firebase are sent over secure HTTPS connections.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
